  • Chuck Prince is having a hard time selling his home in Greenwich. In the six months he's had the English-style mansion on the market, he's slashed the price by $300,000. The five-bedroom home on 2.4 acres (with wood-paneled library, exercise room, pool, sauna) can now be yours for $5.85 million. Prince shouldn't miss the manse much.   • Edgar Bronfman Jr.'s five-bedroom apartment at 1040 Fifth Avenue has gone into contract for between $20 and $21 million, six months after he put it on the market for $24 million. His East 95th Street penthouse at the Carhart Mansion, which he bought for $19 million in October 2007, is still for sale for $24.5 million. [Observer]
  • Robert Goergen Jr., the president of Blythe Inc., the home accessories company his father founded, paid $8.7 million for a condo at 81 Spring Street. Goergen and his wife Stacy purchased the fifth-floor apartment from former Morgans Hotels chief Ed Sheetz, who resigned after his girlfriend was found dead inside his Vegas apartment last year. Before Sheetz, the apartment was owned by Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, who now live in the building's penthouse. One of Goergen's new neighbors: blog king Nick Denton.
  • Carly Simon is trying to get unload her duplex at 46 Commerce Street; it's now on the market for $3.8 million with her sister Joanna of Fox Residential Group as the listing agent. Carly originally paid $1.2 million for two adjacent units in the West Village building back in 2004, and combined the units into a two-bedroom, 1,200-square-foot pad. [NY Post]
  • Cindy Adams says Judith Sheindlin and her husband Jerry spent $40 million to raze and rebuild their Greenwich, Connecticut mansion. The new place has 13 bathrooms, ten fireplaces, and a 50-seat theater. [Radar]
  • Russian real estate investor Janna Bullock has raised the price of her Upper East Side townhouse, pushing the price from $29 million to $34.9 million after receiving approval to add a new limestone stoop. She bought the property, located at 9 East 67th Street, for just $10 million in 2005. [Observer]
  • Former Yahoo! exec Dan Rosensweig and his wife Linda have paid $3.825 million for a condo at 415 Greenwich Street amid rumors he's in the running to become CEO of his old company if Jerry Yang steps down. At least he'll have a nice pied-a-terre in NYC: The 2,693-square-foot Tribeca pad has three-bedrooms.
