Gandhi is my homeboy. And yours! Let's figure out this ad campaign together. The slogan: "Life is easier if you don't speak up. Debate." Naturally you can see how the whole theme develops from that point. You can't see (I'm willing to bet) what the hell this campaign might be promoting, but hey, that's something you can "debate." After the jump, see Gandhi cookin' out, Mandela chillaxin', and the Dalai Lama ready to hit some serious slopes, screw the politics yo!

Jyllands-Posten is the reactionary rag that sponsored the "draw Mohammed" contest to piss off Muslims, then got huffy when it pissed off Muslims. These ads are pretty legit; it wouldn't surprise me if the editors firmly believe their lives would, in fact, be better if it weren't for all the uppity darkies.

@Multiphasic: I don't think that is at all the point. Firstly, Denmark is very liberal, and the ads are kind of similar to the History Channel's print ads showing Winston Churchill throwin' up gang signs and Hitler washing the dishes. I don't think they're being offensive here, at least they're not trying to be.

@Multiphasic: Agreed, but I don't really think that this was the case or the intention here. As naive as it was, I think they were aiming for cute and attempting to compare the reader to the Hero, not the other way around. You know, the whole 'where are tomorrow's leaders' shit.
