Kravitz Renovates, J&J Heiress Buys
• Six months ago Lenny Kravitz temporarily pulled his penthouse off the market. Now we know why. The 6,000-square-foot loft at at 30 Crosby Street, which the rocker has been trying to sell on-and-off since 2004, underwent a complete renovation. The price of the brighter, much less somber space hasn't changed, however: It's still up for sale for $14.995 million. [Curbed, Corcoran]
• Johnson & Johnson heiress Jaime Johnson—she's the daughter of Jets owner Woody Johnson and the sister of tabloid staple Casey Johnson—has paid $2.654 million for a two-bedroom loft at 285 Lafayette Street. The seller, Lucy Waletzky, is the daughter of Laurence Rockefeller and a great-granddaughter of John D. Rockefeller. [NYO]
• Keith Jacobson is giving it another go. The developer and ex-investment banker who picked up a duplex at 173 Perry Street for $3.74 million in 2007 and put it up for sale in July 2008 for $12.5 million before taking it off the market four months later, has decided to try again. The 3,500-square-foot apartment, which once belonged to Vincent Gallo, is once again listed with Corcoran for $12.5 million. [Cityfile, Corcoran]
• Former Bear Stearns chief operating officer Alvin Einbender has once again sliced the price of his Charles Gwathmey-designed apartment in the Police Building at 240 Centre Street. The 6,600-square-foot spread, which went on the market for $30 million in May 2008 and was cut down to $26 million in March, is now listed for $19.95 million with Corcoran's Sharon Baum and David Enloe.
