Bernie Madoff, the most incredibly humongous scammer that America has ever seen, has just pleaded guilty to all charges against him, as expected.

Madoff's in court this morning (in the midst of an absolute media clusterfuck), which probably marked his last moments as a semi-free man. Now that he's admitted his crimes, he's going to answer questions about his scam, and then the judge will announce whether his plea is accepted (yes). The judge may end Madoff's house arrest after today's trial and send him directly to jail. About time, dang. [NYT]
