The National Magazine Awards are open to the internet riff raff this year. There's a very special short bus-style affair for the digital media this month, at The Sheraton New York, which is really very nice. Let's see the finalists!

Finalists include all the same national smarty magazines who always get the regular National Magazine Awards, plus the following internet pioneers: "Epicurious; The Daily Beast; Life; Slate; Tablet; and Yale Environment 360." Fah, bah, what about the great investigative work of John Cook??
