Steve Jobs' Secret Porn Experience
Steve Jobs has championed "freedom from porn," because, he suggests, pornography harms kids. But a technology broadcaster said he spent a porny weekend with Jobs—and Jobs' young family.
Podcasting impresario Leo Laporte embarked on a brief Jobs-related digression during a recent episode of his always revealing series "This Week in Google." As shown in the clip below, Laporte told co-hosts Gina Trapani and Jeff Jarvis that while "there's no porno in the world of Steve" Jobs today, given the restrictions he's placed on the iPad and iPhone, "that's not, by the way, my direct experience of Steve" in the past.

The longtime TV and radio personality then did a little masturbation pantomime and began to tell the story of one long weekend he spent with Jobs when the Apple co-founder was heading up NeXT, the computer company he ran between Apple reigns. Jobs' young family was there, including his children, LaPorte said. But then he cut the story short saying he'd "leave the rest to your imagination" or maybe, as he said earlier in the broadcast "maybe sometime over drinks."
Needless to say, we emailed Laporte to offer him all the drinks he wants, plus an eight-course dinner, to hear the rest of his story, but as of yet haven't heard back. A tale involving Jobs and porn could cast in a new light the Apple CEO's hard line against controversial content. Apple has banned apps containing not just porn but political satire, critical caricature, ribald gay culture and even fashion spreads. We'd be curious to know how Jobs' tastes, around which his company revolves, have changed over time, especially with regard to adult content.
In general terms, mind you. There's no need to get into, like, favorite genres and so forth. If by chance you were around that weekend, you know how to reach us.
