Here's a trailer for Black Swan, Darren Aronofsky's moody-looking psychological thriller set in the competitive and cutthroat world of professional ballet. It looks creepy and interestingly filmed and could be an unsettling rumination on ambit— Oh, fuck it. They kiss.

Yeah, it seems so! Maybe it's a dream sequence or something, but that definitely looks to be a lip-lock between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. So forget that Aronofsky's something of an emerging genius and the lensing — all tight and close and claustrophobic — seems satisfyingly somber and menacing and the cast is really compelling — Barbara Hershey, where ya been?!? Mostly we should just focus on them kissing.

As someone who doesn't really care about that stuff, though, I'm especially intrigued by Kunis's presence, as up til now she's mostly been known for comedies both intentional (Extraction) and accidental (The Book of Eli). This is an interesting change of pace for an actress in whose career I'm inexplicably invested. Of course she's played crazy before, but that was in American Psycho II: All American Girl, so that really doesn't count. No, this story of a prima ballerina and her new, mysterious rival seems like Kunis's first true foray into serious, grownup films. How exciting!
