One To Grow On were public service announcements that aired directly after cartoons during NBC's Saturday morning lineup. From 1983-87, many famous faces graced the airwaves with tales of morality. Here's Jason Bateman's plea to stop "blasting in public."
I don't remember these PSA's as much as I remember ABC's Schoolhouse Rock PSA's of the same vein. After viewing this edition of One To Grow On, it does seem that Schoolhouse Rock could have benefited from some celebrity endorsements. You know, there's plenty of New Yorkers—particularly on the Subways—that could benefit from watching this even today, perhaps NBC should bring them back!
