Don't get too upset that tonight is the second season finale of Jersey Shore. The reality show's producer reveals that it will return to the air shortly (this January) and promises the next season will be better than ever.

Sally Ann Salsano, who co-created the MTV hit, says the third season is expected to debut January 6. That's only a couple of months away! She also reveals that Snooki's friend, Deena, is joining the cast, but everyone knew that already. Here's what Salsano said about next season:

All the relationships start taking a turn, some for the good, some for the bad. There's plenty of drama. There are some new hook-ups both in the house and outside. The kids legitimately grow up and come into their own in front of your eyes. They're still the same cast, but I think how they deal with situations is completely different.

The fights and the hookups and drama sound awesome, but we don't want these kids growing up and handling situations (ha!) maturely. If we wanted to see that, we'd watch The Well-Adjusted World. Oh right! That doesn't exist because no one wants to watch a bunch of reasonable people make smart decisions on television. Boring! But with an extra two weeks of filming for season three, we're sure there will be plenty of action to pack into next season.
