The Golden Globes, which take place tonight, are known for their freebies Even rich and famous people love not paying for things! Each year's giveaways are more absurd than the last, and this year is no exception.

The Los Angeles Times took a tour of the Golden Globes' so-called "gifting suites," where before the event celebrities can load up on free things that companies want them to use in front of the paparazzi for free publicity. ("And by 'celebrities' we mean a slew of B-listers and a couple of bona fide stars," explains the Times. Burn.)

Here's just some of the bounty of crap you're missing out on by not being a B-list celebrity at the Golden Globes, via the Daily Mail and the Times:

  • A free carton of nerds and lip gloss
  • free manicures, hairdressing and eyebrow shaping
  • cupcakes and champagne
  • "Week-long trip to a health retreat in Africa"
  • Designer handbags
  • Gym memberships
  • Trips to Fiji
  • Diamonds
  • Diane Von Furstenberg sunglasses

The Times spotted Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof "stuffing bags of free loot into the trunk of her Bentley" outside of one of the gifting suites. So it's all technically free, but there's a hidden cost: Your dignity.
