Rapidly unspooling Fox News ejectee Glenn Beck donned his finest pair of tinfoil underwear on Thursday and delivered this sermon against Glee.

Yet Glee would seem an unlikely target for Beck, a devout showtune aficionado who recently encouraged his audience to "sell a kidney" to see Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, and who counts a mint-condition The Rink touring-company jacket among his most valuable possessions.

Sure enough, his meandering and deeply conflicted speech betrayed a barely closeted Gleek at war with himself:

This show stands out and stands for almost every value that I have. [...] I've watched it with a sense of stunned horror combined with a sense of admiring awe. It is a brilliant, brilliant show. Very, very well done. But it is a horror show. All of the characters are extremely good-looking, extremely talented. [Pointing at Jane Lynch:] She's by the way hysterical. Everybody in here is somebody that your kids would want to be like.

Except everyone is sleeping with everyone else, there's no values, it's all self-gratification — it's a nightmare. Brilliant songs and performances brilliantly edited and shot. It's brilliant! Brilliant. I looked at my wife and said, "There is no way to beat this." [...] This is propaganda and it's an anthem. It's an anthem saying, "Join us." How can you and I possibly win against that?

You can't, Glenn. You simply can't. Now would somebody give this guy a T-shirt that says "UNEMPLOYED" on it and crank up the Gaga, already? [YouTube]
