This morning all the theater people scampered downstairs into Times Square in their pajamas to open up their presents. Yes, it's gay Christmas: Tony Awards season! The supposed best of Broadway was honored this morning with nominations for theater's biggest prize. Who was counted? Let's take a look.

Unsurprisingly, Trey Parker and Matt Stone's (and Robert Lopez's) musical Book of Mormon, a satirical look at mission work and the zany Mormon church, walked away with the most nominations, a whopping fourteen. After that, the long-closed musical Scottsboro Boys — a hilarious romp about a group of black men wrongly accused of rape, yay! — picked up twelve, and the gooey, sunshiny revival of Anything Goes racked up nine.

But you guys don't care about that! You care about celebrities. Right? Broadway sure hopes you care about celebrities. This year we've got: Al Pacino, Frances McDormand, Vanessa Redgrave (paparazzi bait, that one!), Billy Crudup, Ellen Barkin, and Edie Falco. But not Daniel Radcliffe! No, poor little Harry did not make the Quidditch team this year. And then there's a whole host of theater royalty, from Norbert Leo Butz to Donna Murphy, thrown in for old time's sake. Here's a partial list. The full one's here.
