Unlike Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Oprah, you weren't invited to Julian Assange's 40th birthday bash yesterday in Norfolk, England. Neither were we. But we've snagged an invite anyway. Here's a copy of the email sent to a few dozen of "The Most Dangerous Man in the World's" friends before the party.

Going along the A143 turn off at Ellingham West onto Old Yarmouth Road. Go along Old Yarmouth Road and take the first right where there are some white bollards in a V formation. This is Hall Road but is not sign posted. Travel along this road (there is a field to the left and a small stone wall to the right). The roads forks but keep right and carry on until you go through some gates. Go pas a few houses and buildings on your left. At the end you will come to a final large building on your right that is the Hall.

You can charter a private plane to Norwich International Airport which has a private air strip and is a half-hour taxi journey to Ellingham Hall or alternatively you can land helicopters (by prior arrangement in your RSVP with Vaughan Smith of Ellingham Hall) on the Ellingham Hall property on the field in the northwest quadrant of this map.

According to the Guardian, about 100 guests partied in the big white tent set up on the lawn at Ellingham Hall, the 10-bedroom country home of English journalist Vaughn Smith where Assange has been under house arrest for more than six months, fighting extradition to Sweden to face rape allegations.

Wikileaks has claimed Assange's detention is "excessive and dehumanising." We'd be upset too if we invited Brangelina to our birthday party and they didn't come.
