Did You Know That Obama Hosted a 'Hip Hop BBQ' Yesterday?
The mischievous scribes at Fox Nation are lighting up Twitter with this magisterial headline-photo combination about President Obama's private White House birthday party yesterday. The "Hip-Hop BBQ" didn't even create any jobs! This guy doesn't even deserve to be 50 years old.
So how does a White House gathering metamorphosize into a "Hip Hop BBQ"? By inviting Jay-Z and uh... well, he was actually the only rapper at the event, is the thing. But the DJ played some hip hop songs. That counts, right? Also, some other musical black people attended, so... Hip-Hop BBQ it is!
An hour later, the party started with dinner in the Rose Garden, accompanied by "The President's Own" United States Marine Band. Then the First Lady and his daughters presented POTUS with a cake, and everyone moved into the East Room for performances that included R&B singer Ledisi, and Herbie Hancock. Stevie Wonder came up at the end and sang a medley ending in "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours." DJ Cassidy played Motown, hip hop, and '70s and '80s R&B.
The President probably wanted to invite Common to his Hip-Hop BBQ, though, so let's just impeach him for thought crimes already.
