Nafissatou Diallo, the hotel maid who says disgraced French politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn raped her, launched a civil lawsuit today.

"Believing he was immune from the laws of this country, defendant Strauss-Kahn intentionally, brutally and violently sexually assaulted Ms. Diallo and in the process humiliated, degraded, violated and robbed Ms. Diallo of her dignity as a woman," the complaint reads. Diallo is seeking "unspecified damages." Meanwhile, prosecutors continue to avoid making any kind of definitive statement on the case. [Reuters, image via AP]
