Following Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger's appearance alongside Andy Cohen on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live Sunday night, we posted a video of her reinforcing negative stereotypes of gay men with stupid statements disguised as dating advice.

Amid a growing online backlash on Monday, Stanger responded via Twitter: "Attn male Gays: I support you & my comment on WWHL was to a LA guy who can't find commitment." Uh, except that it wasn't, because—as a quick look back at the video in Sunday night's post shows—Stanger's comments about gay men and monogamy were not directed at a viewer in Los Angeles, but rather at Cohen and a caller in Ohio named Dustin, who'd asked her about long-distance open relationships.

One would think that Stanger, realizing how stupid her excuse looked on Twitter, wouldn't repeat it. But in an interview with Joy Behar that will air Tuesday night, she did.
