While Ice Age: Continental Drift didn't do quite as well as previous installments — I guess 20th Century Fox overestimated the star power of Nicki Minaj — it still topped the box office this weekend, earning $46 million.

This is, of course, the fourth film in the Ice Age franchise, so it's not shocking that interest would fade a bit. On the bridge side, it did better than 2009's Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. (People without kids, are these movies even on your radar?)

The Amazing Spider-Man dropped to second place with only $35 million — not terrible, by any means, but more of a drop than had been predicted. It's now up to $200.9 million overall. And rest assured the trilogy is going to happen.

Raunchy delights Ted and Magic Mike are still hanging on to their top 5 positions, with family-friendly Brave as a wedge between them.

Poor Savages just barely missed a spot, taking in $8.7 million to Magic Mike's $9 million. The sad truth is male strippers are just more exciting than recent Oliver Stone thrillers. Maybe if Savages had more hip gyrating?
