Details are scarce, but TV Guide is reporting that Community creator Dan Harmon is "close" to putting his John Hancock on a deal to write a pilot for Fox.

No word on what the pilot will be about, but TV Guide says it "would likely be a multi-camera comedy."

Harmon was unceremoniously booted from Community back in May without much by way of explanation. He has since been eager to return to primetime, and Fox looks willing to help him accomplish that goal.

This wouldn't be his first gig at Fox: Harmon co-wrote the 1999 cult sci-fi comedy Heat Vision and Jack, which starred Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson. A pilot episode was filmed, but Fox ultimately decided to pass on the show.
