Great Britain won its first gold medal of the 2012 Olympics today — in women's pair rowing — and the country celebrated the only way it knows how: with a rich buffoon doing something embarrassing and ridiculous.
That's London Mayor Boris Johnson, strapped into a harness, waving two small Union Jacks as he swings down a zip line, only to get stuck. "Get me a rope, get me a ladder," he says. "I think the brakes got stuck." The crowd responds with laughter.
He was eventually pulled down by the grounds crew.
