Psy Performs Free 'Thank You' Concert in Seoul; Literally Shuts the City Down
K-pop superstar Park Jae-Sang — known to everyone but his mom as Psy — returned to Seoul, South Korea, yesterday to put on a thank you show for fans, free of charge.
The concert, held in front of City Hall forced the government to shut down several streets as some 80,000 screaming Psy-heads took over the city center.
The "Seoul Style" performance was live-streamed to millions of others across the globe via YouTube.
"I did not get here because I was worthy of it. I'm here because of all of you," Psy told his adoring compatriots. "I'm just a fat man with two kids."
"Gangnam Style," Psy's biggest hit to date, recently became the most popular song in the UK, and is currently sitting comfortably at number two in the US.
