Miley Cyrus is Having Three Weddings Because That Is What Happens When Children Plan Weddings
Pretty much the only thing Miley Cyrus knows for sure about her vaguely impending wedding to World's Best Wikipedia Photo Liam Hemsworth is that she wants another one and then another one. She's going to have three weddings.
News of the 19-year-old's wedding trilogy was revealed by her father Billy Ray Cyrus, who views every "interview"- even if it's just a waiter asking, "How you guys doing tonight?" - as a chance to unload his hopes, dreams, fears, and complete life story.
In this case, he was speaking with Us Weekly and dropped the wedding(s) detail in a long, rambling story about how Billy Ray told Liam he could marry Miley if Liam could get Billy Ray a part in Liam's brother Chris' next movie:
"Now, [Miley and Liam] are going to have three weddings, so I'm thinking one movie with Chris, then we got the sequel to Liam's new movie [Hunger Games: Catching Fire] coming out. They have got three weddings, that has to be three movies for me."
No word yet on when the couple, who became engaged in June, is planning to violate the "weddings of three, leave it be" maxim.
Billy Ray is certainly still speaking about the ceremonies in very far-off terms. (He also told a long story about sending Miley a text saying, "I just want you to know, whenever you're ready, I'm going to be very proud to walk you down that aisle," the night before. And then he talked about her text response. Every story is just so much longer than it needs to be.)
Last month, Miley told Ryan Seacrest it was "pretty blatant" that ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas' song "Wedding Bells" was about her because she is the only person getting married:
"I don't know who else is getting married…so I feel like that's pretty blatant, it's whatever."
She also said that she already feels married (but not enough times).
