Hugh Grant hates being a celebrity, hates being an actor and generally seems like a smug and unpleasant person to be around. Now, Jon Stewart has confirmed that Grant is exactly that. Last week, Stewart was interviewed by Stephen Colbert onstage in Montclair, New Jersey at a fundraiser for the Montclair Film Festival. Among the topics was the worst guest to ever appear on Stewart's show, and he didn't hesitate in answering.

Stewart's least favourite guest of all time is Hugh Grant, "and we've had dictators on the show". Grant spent his time at the studio complaining that he had other places to be. "He's giving everyone shit the whole time, and he's a big pain in the ass," Stewart recalled. Grant also complained to the staff about the clip that was selected of the movie he was promoting, Did You Hear About the Morgans? – a clip that was obviously supplied by the film's publicist. Stewart recalls Grant angrily asking "What is that clip? It's a terrible clip." "Well, then make a better fucking movie," Stewart said, adding that he would "never" have Grant back.

Stewart is kind of an asshole himself, so Grant must be a special kind of dick. In related news, Grant stayed with the mother for his first child for 30 minutes on the day after she gave birth before bailing to go play at a golf tournament in Scotland. A swell guy, I'm sure.
