An Australian man rather understandably says his trip to Bali was "ruined" when he had a horrifying run-in with a disturbingly determined spider.

Tommy Schaefer, a 21-year-old American who was on vacation with his girlfriend and mother in Bali, has confessed to the murder of 62-year-old Sheila von Wiese-Mack, whose body was discovered stuffed in a bloody suitcase by a local taxi driver on August 13, police say.

The young American couple accused of murdering the girlfriend's mother and stuffing her body into a suitcase could potentially face the death penalty in Indonesia if found guilty of a premeditated murder charge.

Indonesian police charged a young American couple with murder in Bali today. Heather Mack, 19, and her boyfriend Tommy Schaefer, 21, allegedly killed Heather's mom, stuffed her into a suitcase, and left the suitcase in the trunk of a taxi. Mack and Schaefer say 62-year-old Sheila von Wiese-Mack was killed by robbers.
