• Good to know that even though Madonna and Guy Ritchie's relationship is on the rocks, their spiritual lives remain intact. Madonna spent the weekend in New York and attended the Kabbalah center in Midtown on Friday and Saturday; Guy paid a visit to the center in London. [People]

Poor DMX. The drug-loving, dog-abusing, gravel-voiced rapper was arrested this week for the third time since April, this time for driving with a suspended license. To make matters worse, he's also now losing possession of the Harlem townhouse he purchased for $725,000 in 2001. It seems DMX—or Earl Simmons if you prefer real names—didn't follow through on a contract to promote a line of dog products (perhaps because he was busy killing them?) and now the owner of the doggie supply company has obtained a court order to auction off the house to pay off the $281,000 DMX owes for breach of contract. The home, which has been unoccupied for a couple of years, is located at 2007 Fifth Avenue on the corner of East 124th Street. It will be auctioned off by the county sheriff's office on August 13. • Sad Anne Hathaway had been shopping for homes with her scummy Italian boyfriend Rafaello Follieri right before the movie starlet finally realized she had to dump the loser. She told InStyle, for next month's issue: "If we get a house as opposed to an apartment, the first two floors will be a bit more traditional for him to be able to receive people, and the top two floors will be whatever I want." • Anne Hathaway's ex, Raffaello Follieri, was arrested yesterday, as you may have heard. Things haven't improved much behind bars. He's already been hospitalized (he collapsed) and tested positive for drugs (opiates). His lawyer is still in the process of rounding up the $16 million he needs to make bail. We can just imagine the awkward convo he's having with Anne today. [NYP]
