Crystal Mangum, the woman who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of rape in 2006, was found guilty of second-degree murder today. Mangum stabbed her boyfriend during an argument in 2011. He died 10 days later. Mangum's attorneys had argued she was acting in self-defense against an abusive partner.

Kathi Keys at the Courier-Tribune reports that Kimiyutta Parson, the parent of a local high-schooler, submitted a “complaint” outlining in great, and often bizarre, detail how the National Book Award-winning novel “is not so innocent; instead, this book is filthier, too much for teenagers.”

Amber Fox was additionally charged with soliciting a crime against nature. Ruben Fox is a soldier with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg.
