There's usually a lag time between when everyone knows a celeb is a "friend of Dorothy" and when they finally come out. Starting with Ricky Martin the lovely ladies at Autostraddle have graphically charted the road out of the closet.

The tables show when the gay community figured out a star was gay, when mainstream culture got hip to the fact, when they were outed in the press, and when they finally came out themselves. There seems to be an interesting correlation between when a person became famous and how long it took them to come out. Just check out the progression from Ricky Martin and Adam Lambert!
