America was stricken Tony Awards fever on Sunday night! Well, maybe not fever. America was stricken by Tony Awards nagging-sore-throat-that-goes-away-after-a-cup-of-tea on Sunday Night! Want to know which famous people were given awards to entice people to watch?

The Tony Awards—the NHL of American awards shows—were held on Sunday night, and... well, if you weren't actually watching them, it's likely that the only winners you've heard of were Denzel Washington (for his performance in the August Wilson revival Fences), Scarlett Johansson (for her performance in the Arthur Miller revival A View From the Bridge), and Catherine Zeta-Jones (for her performance as Michael Douglas' wife). (Law & Order: SVU fans may also know Viola Davis, who won for her turn opposite Denzel in Fences, and people who like high cheekbones may be aware of Eddie Redmayne, who won for his performance in Red.) It's easy to say that they only won because they're famous, and who doesn't love to give famous people statues, but all of those actors were well-received in their productions—yes, even Scarlett.

And, some less famous, but no less awesome people won! Fela!'s Bill T. Jones took home a very well-deserved choreography award. Douglas Hodge grabbed Best Leading Actor in a Musical for La Cage aux Folles.
