A tipster sent us a few photos of Anna Wintour checking out the rehearsal today for Fashion's Night Out: The Show, the catwalk extravaganza timed to the Vogue editor's annual charity event that's taping tonight in Lincoln Center.

This is just the first gambit in the publicity barrage surrounding Fashion's Night Out, which kicks off Fashion Week on September 10th and uses parties, celebrities, and all sorts of other clever ploys to convince Americans to go out and shop, shop, shop with money they don't have. The show tonight was one of the only events open to the public and tickets sold out fast, although for those who won't be making it the actual event, there's live broadcast on CBS.com beginning at 7pm. (If you miss that, you can wait until September 14th when CBS airs a "recap of the star-studded fashion show.")

Our tipster says that Anna appeared to be making some last minute changes to the show which features looks by a slew of designers and the participation of 150 models. Pics of the Vogue editor making her dissatisfaction clear to all are below. (Then again, Vogue's Andre Leon Talley tweeted that Anna was seen smiling by the time the rehearsal was over, so it looks things worked out in the end.) Click pics to enlarge.
