One of the great literary minds of her generation, Jersey Shore's Snooki, will publish her first novel next January. A Shore Thing! is sure to be a keenly observed bildungsroman about a girl looking for love on the boardwalk.

Of course the artfully-minded Snooki has yet to cash in on her fame like her crash co-stars The Situation and JWOWW with their filthy clothing lines, endorsement deals, and iPhone apps. We're sure her restraint will be reward with a Nobel Prize in literature.

Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books imprint announced today that it will publish a novel by Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the breakout star from the hit MTV reality show Jersey Shore. Tentatively titled A SHORE THING, the novel will revolve around a girl looking for love on the boardwalk (one full of big hair, dark tans, and fights galore). A SHORE THING is currently scheduled for publication in January 2011.

Jersey Shore is the #1 original cable series among P12-34 and its second season is averaging over 5.7 million viewers. Polizzi has appeared on most major talk shows including The Tonight Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, The View, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Chelsea Lately and more. She has also appeared in a variety of today's most respected and popular publications such as The New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone amongst others . The lovable, straight-shooting, pint-sized "Snooki" also has a diehard fan base with over 600,000 Twitter followers.
