It sure is fun to make fat jokes about New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a.k.a. Governor Sandwiches. We're only saying it because it's true, okay? But Fox News' Neil Cavuto disagrees! According to him, it's racist to make such jokes.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews has been making some fat jokes about Chris Christie recently, it seems. Really mean fat jokes! Mean enough to offend Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto, who reacted yesterday with powerful moral proclamations:

Judging our leaders not by the qualities that matter, but the nonsense like this that does not - where greatness is defined not by who you are but how you look. You know what that is? That is racism – with a scale.

"Racism with a scale." Holy shit that's funny.

So: Chris Matthews is racist for making fat jokes about Governor Sandwiches of New Jersey, got it. Those holding the highest offices in our nation should not be judged by their appearances, but by their qualifications and job performances.

Then why did Neil Cavuto host this segment on Surgeon General Regina Benjamin when she was nominated last year?

Brilliant, dedicated, experienced and, oh yeah, fat. The President's pick for Surgeon General is fat. Not a lot fat, but enough fat for my next guest to say fat chance for Dr. Regina Benjamin to even be considered.

Racist. (With a scale.)
