Guess what, gang! Tonight, we've got another all-new (and live, for real this time) episode of American Idol—from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on FOX—during which we'll get down to our Top 12. Your open thread, inside.

Yes, yes... for some reason, this season they decided to change things up—speed them up, rather—and narrow it from 24 finalists to 12 in one night. I've been told that we'll find out our Top 5 guys and Top 5 girls, as judged from the votes of the past two nights, and that the judges will also put forward two wild card contestants.
