"He was trying to kill me," 52-year-old Inwood resident Marta Hevia said of her cat Aqua after the 2-year-old feline went so crazy attacking her that she called the cops. For some reason, The New York Daily News was on hand to photograph the harrowing event. Aqua shattered a window pane while trying to evade arrest.

The NYPD "elite Emergency Services Unit" ultimately prevailed, and Aqua has been taken in custody. I'd like to imagine he will now have a dramatic trial featuring a steely-but-sassy cat lawyer and wise-and-whiskery judge, but reality will probably be more grim. At least Aqua will always have his badass final mugshot. [NYDN]
