A group trying to entice “Diamond” Joe Biden into the presidential race is making the vice president an attractive offer: run, and we won’t show this dramatic television ad about your dead wife and daughter.

I am kidding, of course; the group “Draft Biden” was all ready to run the ad above on TV, and Biden reportedly indicated he was “uncomfortable” with it, and so the group thoughtfully announced they will not run it on television, of their own free will, out of respect. Instead it will just appear on every news website, for free, via Youtube.

(Not that Joe Biden is above this sort of thing, but still. Ask him first.)

No better way to convince a guy to do something than to widely disseminate an ad about his family members who were tragically killed in a car crash, the political pros always say.
