Richard Gere Seals the Deal at Palazzo Chupi

• Two weeks after it was reported that Richard Gere had found a buyer for his condo at Julian Schnabel's Palazzo Chupi, city property records indicate he's closed on the deal. Gere sold the 3,500-square-foot pad for $11 million, which is $1 million less than what he paid for it and $6.995 million less than what he was seeking when he first put the apartment on the market last year. As for who will be moving into Gere's former pad, he/she remains a mystery for the moment: The buyer is listed on the deed as Mercator 360 LLC. [Curbed]
• Brian Brille, Bank of America's former head of investment banking and its newly appointed Asia-Pacific chief, has closed on the sale of his 5,473-square-foot apartment at Trump Park Avenue for $14 million. Brille went into contract to sell the third-floor condo in October. [Real Deal, previously]
• Martin Begun, the husband of real estate marketing guru Louise Sunshine, has gone into contract to sell his 36th-floor apartment at One Beacon Court. The two-bedroom condo, which Sunshine's real estate broker son, Sam, listed for $6.75 million last month, is being picked up by a former JPMorgan investment banker who already owns an apartment in the building. Glenn Beck Lists at a Loss in New Canaan

• Glenn Beck has put his house in New Canaan, Connecticut on the market. And he's preparing to take a loss on the sale. The right-wing Fox News host (and gold pitchman) has listed the 8,720-square-foot, six-bedroom home for $3.999 million, which is a quarter of a million dollars less than what he paid for the 2.87-acre estate back in 2005. • The former Dakota residence of the late model/actress Ruth Ford is now on the market. The three-bedroom co-op, which Ford used to host the likes of Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams, Edward Albee and Terrence McNally over the years, is up for sale for $7.5 million. [Cityfile, Corcoran]

Kiefer Sells Village Pad; Madonna Snags Horse Farm?

• It's been more than a year since Kiefer Sutherland picked up a five-story townhouse on Greenwich Street for $8.25 million. Now he's managed to sell his old apartment and turn a profit in the process. Sutherland bought the two-bedroom pad at 134 West 10th Street—which comes with private roof and terrace—for $3.15 million in 2006. • Alexis Stewart is hoping the third time is the charm when it comes to unloading her apartment at 27 North Moore Street. The 3,884-square-foot duplex penthouse loft, which Stewart tried to sell for $12.4 million in both 2007 and 2008, was taken off the market most recently this past July. • Morgan Stanley CEO John Mack and his wife Christy appear to be the mystery buyers behind last month's purchase of the limestone carriage house at 165 East 70th Street. The 107-year-old home, which was sold to Mack in "distressed condition" for $13.5 million—and which comes with a 12-car garage, believe it or not—was purchased from Bunny Mellon, the 99-year-old widow of philanthropist Paul Mellon. • Sandy Gallin, the Hollywood talent manager-turned-serial house flipper, is at it again. The onetime manager of stars like Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand, Gallin has placed his 14-acre estate in Bridgehampton on the market for $32 million. [WSJ, Saunders]
• Steve Black, co-CEO of JP Morgan's investment banking division, has sold his estate in Greenwich for $18.9 million. • It looks like Don Trump Jr. and his wife Vanessa are spreading out a bit. A week after the couple paid $1.125 million for an 1,800-square-foot apartment on the 12th floor of The Sovereign on East 58th Street, they've now paid another $1.595 million for the apartment next door. [Cityfile]
• Douglas Lebda, the founder of LendingTree, has gone into contract to sell his penthouse at the Legacy on East 84th Street. After more than nine months on the market, Lebda is taking a loss on the sale of the 5,175-square-foot apartment. Say hello to a new member of the Hamptons social set: Vince Shlomi, the man better known as the Vince the ShamWow guy, who, much to the surprise of those in attendance, put in an appearance at the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field this past weekend. Shlomi says he's here in New York because "branching out from infomercials" with some sort of "movie project," and he also plans to design "some swimwear lines" with his new business partner, model Courtney Bingham.
