Twenty-year-old Azamat Tazhayakov, a college friend of the Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was found guilty today of covering up evidence in the wake of the attack. Three more friends of Tsarnaev have yet to be tried on similar charges.

Looks like the boycotts didn't work: the Rolling Stone issue featuring Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on its cover was a hit. The “Boston Bomber” issue sold 13,332 copies in retail stores, more than double the magazine's average sales from last year.

Last week, Rolling Stone's decision to feature Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on its August 1, 2013 cover caused such a major brouhaha that Mayor of Boston denounced the magazine in a statement and a string of retailers declined to stock the issue. But the Marathon Bombing suspect wasn't the editors' first choice for the cover. Know who was? That's right, Yeezy!

Sgt. Sean Murphy, the Massachusetts State Police tactical photographer who took the just-published photos of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's capture, has been relieved of duty. The announcement was made just hours after Murphy provided Boston Magazine with hundreds of photos from the manhunt.

The City of Boston is very unhappy with Rolling Stone's decision to feature Marathon Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on its August 1 cover, so unhappy that a long list of New England-tied retailers have refused to stock the issue. As of today, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's former college, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, has joined the boycott.
