• It's still unclear what caused Brittany Murphy's death in Los Angeles yesterday morning. While the coroner has indicated the 32-year-old actress appears to have died from "natural causes," it's been reported that lots of prescription drug bottles were uncovered by cops at the scene, and some friends say they'd grown increasingly concerned that she was abusing painkillers. An autopsy is planned for today or tomorrow, but an official cause of death may take a couple of weeks, pending the results of toxicology tests. [NYP, TMZ, People, Sun]
• Murphy's death has put the spotlight on her husband, sketchy 39-year-old screenwriter Simon Monjack, who married Murphy in 2007. [NYDN]
• Tiger Woods set sail on his 155-foot yacht Privacy on Saturday accompanied by a bunch of friends. Where he's going is anybody's guess, although considering the boat has a range of 4,000 miles, it could be anywhere. As for his estranged wife, Elin Nordegren, now that she's retained a divorce lawyer, she's reportedly gearing up to ask for full custody of their two kids and half of his fortune, which has been estimated at $600 million. • After more than a week of debate, Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have finally settled on a name for their new baby boy: Benjamin. [Us]
• Perpetual mess Casey Johnson has flown to NYC with her supposed fiancée Tila Tequila because she's determined to get back custody of her daughter, Ava. Johnson adopted the little girl from Kazakhstan two years ago, but her mother, Sale, started caring for the girl herself earlier this year when it became clear that Casey was, well, nuts. In related news, Tila announced over the weekend that she is pregnant and planning to be a surrogate mother for her brother's baby, which doesn't seem like such a hot idea, does it? [P6, Us]
• Kevin Jonas is off the market. He married his ex-hairdresser girlfriend, Danielle Deleasa, at Oheka Castle, "a turn-of-the-century French-style chateau," on Long Island on Saturday. [People, Us]
• Chris Brown was hanging out at a club the other night when 86 women from a topless club came by. Brown was "delighted" to see them, but he also played "the perfect gentleman," too, supposedly. [P6]
• Some audience members of A Little Night Music on Broadway got a little something extra when Catherine Zeta-Jones flashed her boobs (accidentally, apparently) on stage the other night. [P6]
• Jude Law snuck out of a screening of his new movie last Thursday to meet up with Sienna Miller for a romantic dinner. Rumor has it she's also asked him to join him for the holidays in Barbados. [NYDN, Sun]
• It was only a matter of time before Amy Winehouse made headlines again. This time she's being questioned by police for attending a production of Cinderella, and then heckling the cast, cursing out loud in the middle of the show, and then kicking the stage manager in the balls. [Sun]
• Those Saturday Night Live writers are really taking a walk on the edgy side. James Franco made out with Bill Hader and Will Forte in a skit on this weekend's SNL. [NYDN]
• Kate Hudson hosted her annual holiday party in Los Angeles on Friday night; A-Rod wasn't there, in case you were wondering. [People]
• Three members of the cast of Jersey Shore attended MTV's Christmas party the other night. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and DJ Pauly D were "surprisingly nice and friendly," and The Situation willingly showed off his six-pack. But Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi did offend the bathroom attendant at Marquee later on in the evening after she used the hairspray and perfume and tipped the lady a measly 75 cents. [P6]
• Why did Nancy O'Dell abruptly quit Access Hollywood last week? One explanation is that it had to do with co-host Billy Bush and the "tantrums and tirades" he threw on a regular basis. Also, Bush supposedly really wants to be the "next Ryan Seacrest," which may be the saddest thing ever. [NYDN]
